Shortly after the War of the Lance, the party journeys forth from Throtl on a scouting mission. However, one of the infamous Heroes of the Lance, Caramon Majere, and a group of humans are held captive by draconians. The party travels across Ansalon and is joined by Knights, kender, and other Heroes of the Lance to stop the evil forces from corrupting more dragon eggs into draconians.

Dark Queen of Krynn picks up where Death Knights of Krynn left off. The party starts in Palanthas and journeys to Caergoth, where they are confronted by a party of dragons. The party is wrecked at sea and visits the Dargonesti elves' capital before washing up on the shores of Taladas. Will the party be able to survive the strange continent of Taladas and rescue Raistlin Majere from his imprisonment in the Abyss?
