From Palanthas to the Path of Paladine
Born in the storied city of Palanthas, Elowen’s life began with loss. Battle claimed her father before she could speak his name. Illness took her mother before Elowen could understand grief. Alone and hungry, she was found by a boy known only as Poor Manners, a kind-hearted noble circus performer who saw past her desperation and gave her a place among a wandering circus.
For eight years, the circus was her sanctuary. Though she lacked the flair of acrobats or illusionists, Elowen became the quiet soul behind the scenes—mending costumes, soothing nerves, and offering comfort where she could. It was outside the gates of Istar that her destiny shifted. A chance meeting with a Revered Daughter of Paladine opened her eyes to the divine. The woman’s compassion lit a fire in Elowen’s heart, and with a gifted holy symbol and a newfound purpose, she vowed to follow the path of peace.
A Pacifist in a Time of War
Elowen’s presence in The Dark Patrol is not one of might, but of mercy. She does not seek glory in battle, nor vengeance for her past. She seeks healing—for the wounded, for the weary, and for the world. Her faith in Paladine is unwavering, and her belief that kindness can endure even in the darkest corners of Krynn is her greatest strength.
