Varus – A powerful tremor collapsed the entrance to the Varus ore mine early this morning, trapping several dwarves below ground and leaving several pack mules dead, local villagers said.

Uncertainty and fear gripped the villagers, as this is the third mine collapse in recent months. “I was hauling potatoes up from the well when the ground began to shake something fierce and before I knew it I was thrown to ground,” said Jacob Ironhock, owner of the local Inn.

The local mining camp disagreed, stating that the ground did not shake but a loud rumble, like thunder, was heard just before the collapse took place.

They tell you that my goal was to take over Thorbardin. He smiled disdainfully. What rot! I played for far greater stakes than the acquisition of some stinking, filthy dwarven hole in the ground. My plan was to enter the Abyss. to overthrow the Dark Queen, remove Takhisis from her throne. I sought godhood!
