Historical Era

Stories taking place in the past of Krynn, during the Age of Dreams, the Age of Might, and the early years of the Age of Despair. Events leading up to the War of the Lance are considered Preludes.

Prerequisite: Before exploring the stories of this era, the reader should definitely first read the Classic Core.

Core books of this era: Since this era is basically all backstory, none of its stories can really be considered Core, and they may be read in any order. There are, however, certain books which are very popular, which also happen to deal with some of the main historical events of the timeline: Firstborn, The Kinslayer Wars, The Legend of Huma, and The Kingpriest Trilogy.
