UPDATE 1 September 2026: The second book in the trilogy will now be called “Wild Magic.”
Margaret Weis recently confirmed on her Facebook account the titles of the second and third book in the upcoming War Wizard trilogy.
The first book was announced last year at Gen Con and will be called “For the Sake of the Magic.” Volume Two will be called “Sword and Flame” and Volume Three will be called “The Exile.”
Margaret also shared that a hardback edition of the Dragonlance Legends Omnibus is due to be released August 2025. This follows on from the recent publication of the Dragonlance Chronicles Omnibus in hardback, which has been so popular it now has a second printing before it was even released!
So excited to be getting new Dragonlance books. “The Exile” in particular, is a really evocative title. I can’t wait for the first one to come out, thanks.
