Land of the Minotaurs

Land of the Minotaurs

Land of the Minotaurs came some 6 years after Kaz the Minotaur. Originally, I was asked if I’d like to contribute a novel about the minotaurs for the Lost Histories set. I immediately asked if I could return to Kaz. There was some brief hesitation due to the question of whether reader would still be interested in him, but I was soon given the okay. What had been tentatively called Islands of the Minotaurs became Land of the Minotaurs due to the time period, of course.

I knew that I wanted Kaz to return home, meet some of his family, and become involved in the politics of the realm so that I could show off minotaur society. I also wanted to throw a few surprises in. Naturally, some other characters returned as well – most notably Helati and Delbin.

I knew that this would very likely be the last time Kaz would have a lead in a novel, so I also considered what his ultimate future might entail. Some of that is hinted at in this novel. The novel also ultimately gave me much of the foundation for my later MINOTAUR WARS trilogy.

LAND OF THE MINOTAURS, the final volume of the unofficial Kaz trilogy!
