This year is the 40th anniversary of Dragonlance. To mark the occasion, Gen Con held a celebration panel on 3rd August.
It was fun, informative and emotional. The panellists were Jeff Grubb, Michael Williams, Margaret Weis, Tracy Hickman, Shivam Bhatt and Alex Davis (from Random House publishing). Joe Manganiello was not able to be there in person but recorded a special message for all the fans. Margaret and Tracy also announced there will be a new series of Dragonlance books called Dragonlance Legacies and the first book, War Wizard, will be released around August 2025 (date to be confirmed).
If you weren’t lucky enough to be there, the video below captures everything. Thank you to The Established Facts for recording it.
Forty years, wow. I still remember the first time I picked up a Dragonlance novel. I was ten, and it took me ages to get through it. Loved it, though.
