Gardel Legna (Jar-dehl’ Leg’-nah) (10/13/371 AD – current) is the Presider of FyxZharar, the chief executive officer of the nation. Only the authority of Sovereign Lord Montegron supercedes the decisions of the Presider and the elected Senate, and Legna has quickly mastered balancing the decisions of the Sovereign Lord with the politics of compromise required when dealing with the elected body. Gardel Legna is currently serving his second term in the Presider seat.

The wealthy Legna family is rumored to be distantly related to the lost royal family of the original FyxZharar prior to the Drowning, and some of Gardel’s detractors in the Senate were worried that electing him Presider would result in Montegron taking action against the republic. So far the Sovereign Lord has not taken any open actions, but neither has Gardel done anything overt to anger Montegron.

Gardel is 6′ 0″ with dirty blond hair, square shoulders, and a mustache that connects to his sideburns. He has no beard, and piercing grey eyes. He is married to his second wife and has three children, two from his first wife and one from his current. His first marriage ended in divorce when he discovered her affair with a Breenaak agent. He attempted to turn her in during the winter of 414 AD, but she escaped and vanished.

Gardel spent his early years learning arcane magic, but soon after his interests turned to politics. In 400 AD, Gardel was elected to the Karsuhon senate seat. Since then he grew his influence amongst the other regularly elected politicians. Although he has always kept bettering the lives of the citizens of Karsuhon and FyxZharar his main priority, he was not above using back-door dirty tricks in order to manipulate others he needed one his side. After 14 years he gained enough support to be elected as Presider. Since then he has worked from the Pavillion to keep FyxZharar strong while Montegron focused his attentions on the much bigger picture of the Midlands and Adlatum.

Chatellin Mri (Chat-ehl’-lihn Mreye) (8/20/389 – current) is the owner and manager of Cosickers Hold in Trebiers. The Hold had been passed down through his family for generations even since its founding by Kellyn Cosickers 500 years ago. On his eighteenth birthday control was passed onto him.

Chatellin’s mother Terrabell Drysden died while she was in childbirth with him, and his father was disappeared month’s before his birth. Not many knew about the relationship between his parents, and even fewer knew much about his father at all. The most Chatellin came to know was that his father went by the name Sadin Mri and that he appeared human. However as Chatellin grew older, his own face grew more angular and his eyes developed on odd alluring shape to them. Most in town theorize that Sadin was truly a Gildanesti in disguise, but Chatellin never had an interest in finding out. While living at the town orphanage focused on the family business and did what he could to keep the Hold running well. In order gain an eye as to how things worked in the Hold, during his younger years he worked in the Hold’s security, keeping the businesses safe. Only when he came of age did control pass from family friend Casin Yurile to himself.

Chatellin is a wide-shouldered man of 5′ 10″ with dark brown hair and a thick but close-cut beard and mustache. His eyes are violet in color and have a slightly elongated shape somewhat similar to the elven almond-shape. Recently Chatellin has been trying to deal with the apparent interest that the owner of the Hold’s Auction Hold has been having in him. However Chatellin is wary of Seratain Misa, who he knew at the orphanage, and believes she is more interested in gaining access to his family’s wealth. Beyond his constant presence overseeing Cosickers, Chatellin tends to keep his life very private.

Casin Yurile (Kay’-seen Yoo-reyel’) (12/16/357 – current) works as a deputy manager at Cosickers Hold in Trebiers, FyxZharar. Earlier in his carrier he became friends with two generations of Drysdens, who owned the fort. Some say he had his heart set on Terrabell Drysden, but he was crushed when she instead turned her interests to the stranger Sadin Mri. He never married nor had children.

Later on when Terrabell Drysden died from complications during her pregnancy with Sadin’s child, he was made acting-manager until Terrabell’s son Chatellin Mri was of age. During these years he kept close contact with Chatellin and even employed him when he was older in order to more smoothly incorporate him into his family’s business. After control was handed over to Chatellin on his 18th birthday, Casin resumed his duties as deputy manager.

Casin Yurile is a man of thin build with graying thinning hair. After decades of work his skin has tanned and wrinkled, but he refuses to even think of retirement. Casin continues to be a close friend and advisor to Chatellin, but he does at times seem to be a little over protective, even though Chatellin is now a grown man.

Lennul (Lehn’-ool) (3/8/415 AD – current) is the daughter of Marius, current Townsman of Gef-throth, Bhadlum, and his wife Poria. Since coming to the human/dwarven settled lands from Sakkaras when she was three, she has had a tough time settling in. Although her father and mother had been accepted by most of the adult community, the children of Gef-throth have not accepted her in the same fashion. Recently others have teased her about her bovine features.

Hannean Mavaire (Han-neen’ May-vair’) (10/28/374 AD – current) is the eldest of the Falecohvo daughters. She currently owns and manages the Falecohvo Ranch in Josal, Mauritand, and is married to Golaviers Mavaire.

From a very young age Hannean Falecohvo showed a love of horses and horse riding. During her teenage years she became an expert rider, and her father Gosma began to teach her the ins and outs of horse breeding, trading, raising, and caring. After her sisters left for a life of adventure or a career in the Midland Guard, Hannean remained dedicated to the Falecohvo Ranch. Her talents in the breeding and trading aspects of the business allowed the ranch to grow further. When her sister Noragaen rose to the highest ranks within the Midland Guard, the ranch began to make more and more sales of their various breeds to the Guard itself.

In 401 AD, Hannean married one of her father’s employees, a money manager named Golaviers Mavaire. When her father retired recently, he handed ownership of the company to Hannean. Before her the company had always been handed down father-to-son. Since then Hannean has focused on the breeding, training, animal care, and riding lessons aspects of the job, Golaviers has been focusing on the trade and supplies portion of the company.

Hannean and Golaviers had been trying to have children since they married, but so far they are without luck.

Golaviers Mavaire (Go-lah-veerce’ May-vair’) (7/17/378 AD – current) is in charge of money and trade for the Falecohvo Ranch in Josal, Mauritand, and is also married to the ranch’s owner and manager Hannean. While his wife focuses her talents directly on the horses and their care, he is in charge of trade, supplies, and money management. It is his hope that through the ranch’s success and prosperity he will eventually be accepted into the trusted elite of businessmen in Josal who manage much of the town’s affairs.

Dregan Yoheshi (Dree’-gan Yo-hesh’-ee) (9/28/296 – current) is the Fortmaster of Gef-throth, Bhadlum, and a major in the Bhadlum military. He has held the position since 411 AD and has done what he can to protect the town and the border from minotaur attacks. Yoheshi was given the position as an honor for his long years of service to Bhadlum. Before the job of Fortmaster of Gef-throth was meant to be a post of disgrace, but since the founder of the Midland Guard, Jermon Cavlin, was born and raised there, the post turned into one of respect and challenge.

In 418 AD, a small family of minotaurs approached the town’s north wall. The father of the family, Merius, warned the town that his people had found a cavern that leads from his side of the border to south of Gef-throth. He told them that they were moving to attack the town from the rear. Dregan sent a scout to investigate, but when he didn’t return by the appointed time Dregan marched the town’s forces southward against the approaching minotaurs. The scout was discovered by the bodies of two minotaur scouts. The scout died while taking his attackers with him. Dregan led the attack against the minotaurs at the mouth of the tunnel. Surprised by the attack, they were forced back northward to Sakkaras. Dregan had the tunnel collapsed, and the town accepted Merius and his family as their own. Dregan however is still skeptical of Merius’ motives for turning against his own people.

Later on Dregan began to receive reports of the Midlands preparing for massive military operations and could no longer handle the day to day aspects of running Gef-throth. The townspeople appointed Merius to be their Townsman for this time, much to the annoyance of Dregan. The two rarely see eye to eye, and suspicions run high between the two.

Dregan Yoheshi’s second-in-command is Lieutenant Meumari Hiden.

Dalyang Veliya (Dal-yang’ Vel-ee’-yah) (3/4/409 AD – current) is the daughter of Noragaen Veliya, Second Protector of the Midland Guard, and Rafin Veliya, expert weaponsmith/blacksmith. Born and raised in FyxZharar, she has been close to her parents who both work in the city. She has blond hair that is slowly turning auburn like her mother’s.

Gorsholtz Kamir (Gore’-sholts Kah-mihr’) (8/14/366 AD – current) was born into slavery with the name of Moran. His mother Cenya was a Gildanesti woman owned by Delijol Kamir in Vjenor. Delijol was known to use his female slaves for his own amusement, but as the merchant began approach his later years, he decided to select one of his progeny to be trained as a successor. Delijol chose Moran and officially adopted him as his son even though he technically was by blood. He also changed Moran’s name to Gorsholtz. The eight-year old did not know why he was chosen over the many others, but he also did not question it. Realizing the only real opportunity he had in his life, he did nothing to risk his position. This unfortunately meant that when Delijol decided to sell his mother to another home, he could do nothing to try and stop it. All he could do was take in his father’s lessons.

When the manor was attacked during the Days of Darkness, Delijol was almost killed. The head wound Delijol received put him into a coma for several months. The cost of caring for him mounted, and Gorsholtz decided to apply his father’s logic to the situation. In the end he reasoned there was no cost-benefit to caring for him. He terminated care for his father and let him die.

Since then he has run his business as ruthlessly as Delijol had, but he has also spent much time and effort to find out what happened to his mother. Apparently Delijol did not keep many records in order to better hide many of his dealings. Due to this he has no idea about his possible relationship with the founder of the Midland Guard.

Although his father was human and his mother partially so, Gorsholtz took after his mother’s lineage enough to still be considered Gildanesti. Gorsholtz has a strong bluish tinge to his skin showing his Corinesti roots, but he also has his father’s deep brown hair. He is 5’8″ and has his mother’s violet eyes.

Delijol Kamir (Dehl-ee’-jole Kah-mihr’) (10/12/319 AD – 10/22/383 AD) was a wealthy merchant from Vjenor. In the spring of 356 AD, a slave girl of his Jurana Foles, fled from his estate after Delijol physically indulged himself with her. In order to reacquire his property back, he hired a free-lance mercenary and bounty hunter named Derenta Cavlin. Within two months, Jurana was captured and returned to Kamir. After bestowing Derenta the reward money, the hunter offered to purchase Jurana for four times the reward amount. Kamir accepted the offer and bestowed Jurana’s ownership to Derenta.

Some believe that the future son of Derenta and Jurana, Jermon Cavlin, was actually fathered by Delijol. However since Jermon had a much greater resemblance to his mother, there was no way for the fact to be confirmed or discounted. Either way, Delijol took no interest in the Cavlins after the sale was made.

Delijol had several other children with a number of his slave hands, but he had only officially adopted one of them, Gorsholtz Kamir. The rest of his children he allowed to remain as slaves, even selling some of them if the proper deal presented itself. Gorsholtz on the other hand was raised to take over Delijol’s trade business.

During the Days of Darkness, Delijol was injured when the manor was attacked. He remained in a coma for several months until Gorsholtz followed his father’s logic for business and determined that to keep caring for the invalid was a waste of resources. Gorsholtz stopped care for his father, who soon died within a few weeks.
