Sorcerous Origin: Mysticism

Your innate magic comes from the power of life itself, strengthened by your heart and soul. Through introspection, you can access your divine spark, and connect yourself to the living web of energy of the world.

Mystics are on a continual journey of self-discovery, their focus internal rather than external. They prefer quiet contemplation to crowds and noise and tend to be loners. Others search for truth in life, having failed to find it with the gods. Mystics rarely join organizations, but find a home with the Citadel of Light and the Legion of Steel.

Sphere of Mysticism

At 1st level, you choose one of the cleric class’s divine domains. You add that domain’s spells for 1st-level clerics to your known spells. These spells do not count against the number of spells you can know, and they are considered to be sorcerer spells for you. When you reach 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th levels in the sorcerer class, you likewise learn your domain’s spells that become available at those levels.

Skill Proficiencies

Choose two from Arcana, Insight, Medicine, Nature, Persuasion, and Religion. This replaces the skill proficiencies from the sorcerer class in the Player’s Handbook.

Bonus Proficiencies

At 1st level, you gain proficiency in light armor, medium armor, shields, and simple weapons.

Heart’s Grace

You learn to achieve a strength of spirit and commitment that enables you and your allies to weather any trial. Starting at 6th level, whenever you or a friendly creature within 10 feet of you must make a saving throw, you can spend 1 sorcery point to grant the creature a bonus to the saving throw equal to your Charisma modifier (with a minimum bonus of +1). You must be conscious to grant this bonus.

Mystic Awareness

At 14th level, you learn to be alert to danger surrounding you. You gain advantage on all Insight and Perception checks, and can’t be surprised while you are conscious. You also gain a +5 bonus to initiative.

Power of the Heart

Starting at 18th level, when you cast one of the spell you learned from you Sphere of Mysticism class feature, you regain hit points equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum +1) + the spell’s level.
