Nice job with the episode guys! I agree with the prevailing opinion about DL in 5E here: it’s a very suitable system for it. In fact, though I’d love to see some new, 5E specific DL material, I think that its lack is far less of a problem than it was with previous editions, as repurposing old stuff is not that hard at all.

I’m running Cam’s AoM campaign (still in KoD early days due to a somewhat irregular schedule) and adapting most of the stuff is not that challenging, as long as you remember to tone down the magic loot a bit (as the 5E rules imply far less magical kit for the PCs, doing otherwise would upset the balance), but even then I’ve simply replaced random magical objects with mundane valuables without much of a fuss.

    Keep it up 🙂

  1. Enjoying this podcast, and I thought this might be of interest:

I wrote up some kender player ground rules, looking ahead to a Dragonlance game, and having run a lot of Dragonlance in the past (back in AD&D).

Thanks Doug. I will take a look at these and see if they fit into an upcoming episode for discussion.

Who is Tim? He is, or has by now, DM’d a Dragonlance conversion of Hoard of the Dragon Queen. I would love to learn more and have a host of questions that can either be posted as an AMA request in Reddit /r/Dragonlance or the Nexus forums. I’ll be DM’ing the same in six weeks, it’s a great publication to get back into Dragonlance. The podcast was great and has inspired me to bring Dragonlance to my group most of who are new to the stories.

Shoot a message on the Dragonlance facebook page and I’ll get Tim to talk to you.
